The founder of Fort Point Strategies has represented numerous corporations and business trade associations that are focused on how public policies impact their business operations at the local, state, and federal level. Fort Point Strategies brings a multifaceted approach to each client's unique needs with a focus on strategic planning, coalition development, and grassroots action to effectively manage difficult legislative and regulatory issues. With an strong understanding of the current political and business environment, Fort Point Strategies works with its clients to help achieve their goals.

Christopher S. Koczela
Principal

Formerly serving as Vice-president of Government Relations and Public Affairs at the law firm of Quinn & Morris, Mr. Koczela develops and implements legislative and regulatory strategy on matters pending before the Massachusetts state legislature as well as municipal governments. The firm’s clients represent international, national, and local corporations and associations.

 

Mr. Koczela served from 1987-1992 as Chief of Staff to Chairman Daniel E. Bosley in the Massachusetts House of Representatives. 

 

In 1992, he joined the John Hancock Financial Services Company as a Senior Legislative Consultant for government relations where he was responsible for all matters relating to Massachusetts state government. While working for John Hancock, he served on the government affairs committees for the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce, the Life Insurance Association of Massachusetts, and the Massachusetts Business Roundtable.

 

Mr. Koczela’s professional organizations include the Associated Industries of Massachusetts Public Affairs Committee and Chemical Study Group. He is a graduate of Fitchburg State University.
